The adventure through the Val d'Uina begins in Schlinig, above Burgeis. Following the cross-country ski trail, we pass the Äußere und Innere Alm. Next, a 200-meter ascent requires some pushing. Once we’ve conquered the end of the valley, a cart track leads us to the Sesvenna Hut at 2,256 meters. After a well-deserved break, the route continues on flat terrain to the Schlinig Pass. After crossing the Italy/Switzerland border, rideable trails take us to the Uinaschlucht.
Please do not overestimate your abilities - mistakes in this area can have serious consequences. After passing through the gorge, the Uina Valley (Val d'Uina) opens up all the way to the Engadin. From there, we follow the Inn River along a cycle path to Scuol, where a winding road climbs up to 1,600 meters to the mountain village of S-charl. Here, we take a well-earned rest. The route then continues across various Swiss alpine pastures to Astras Alm.
Trails here lead us up to 2,200 meters once again, before we descend via the Passo Costainas to Lü in the Münstertal valley. We cross the border again and follow the
cycle path all the way to Laatsch.
