Spondinig - Sulden - Madritschjoch - Martell - Goldrain

The tour to the Madritschjoch starts at Spondinig train station. First you follow the road to Prad (Prato allo Stelvio) and on to Sulden (Solda). There you either take the ski area's cable car or choose the tough option and ride towards the Schaubachhütte (2,581 m) and then fairly steeply up to the Madritschhütte (2,823 m). After a break, it is time to use your last reserves of energy to reach the Madritschjoch (steep, but rideable). Your reward is a fantastic trail with some technically demanding hairpin bends and loose, rocky ground, leading down across high alpine meadows to the Zufallhütte in the Martelltal (Val Martello) and through the valley all the way to Goldrain.
