Aschbach Uphill - Quadrathöfe - Stuanbruch-Trail
Töll - Aschbach
We start the tour to the Quadrathöfe farms near Aschbach on the Vinschgau cycle path and ride to Töll, where the climb (approx. 800 m) has to be tackled over several hairpin bends on asphalt.
Once in Aschbach, a gravel road leads towards the Quadrathöfe to a hiking path (a short section where you are better off pushing your bike), until we reach the next forest track and arrive at the Gasthof Brünnl and the Quadrathöfe.
The descent follows the same route back to Töll, where we finish the ride on the cycle path to Merano or towards Naturns.
Alternatively, the tour can be combined with the Steinbruch Trail (also known as the Stuanbruch Trail). The trail is of medium difficulty with some difficult sections.
Stuanbruch-Trail
A delicious cocktail of technical challenges and natural beauty.
From the top station of the Aschbach cable car, this trail leads through a wide variety of terrain, from flowy sections to somewhat technically demanding tracks. The Stuanbruch Trail is a mix of lush forests and breathtaking mountain views with a quarry, served with a slice of enduro trail fun.
After the cable car ride from Rabland to Aschbach, you first have to cover a good two-kilometre link section on a gravel road before the real adventure begins. Along the way you enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains of the Texel Group.
With the old quarry as a backdrop, the trail winds down through a beautiful mountain forest to the valley station of the cable car.
On this route you can expect extremely flowy passages with small jumps and drops, but also some demanding and exposed passages. The last stage brings the biggest challenge: a 100-metre section with difficulty grade S3. Skill and courage are required here!
Important: Please observe the trail regulations: the trail may only be ridden by bike from 3 pm, to guarantee maximum riding fun without pedestrians. Stick to these rules and enjoy an unforgettable ride on the Stuanbruch Trail. The final section down to the cable car is open to pedestrians all day, so please ride with care here.
Get on your bike and experience the ultimate mountain bike fun on the Stuanbruch Trail in South Tyrol!
