Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Vinschgau, the Annenberg-Easy-Trail is the ideal choice for anyone looking for a gentle introduction to mountain biking or wanting to get their first rides in after the winter break. Its prime location on the Sonnenberg means the trail is free of snow early in the year and ready for adventure. In midsummer, however, it can get very hot here.

In Kastelbell you can tackle the 1000 metres of climbing under your own steam, or choose the more comfortable options of the bike shuttle or the St. Martin cable car in Latsch. In summer, the cable car only carries bikes at certain times. The well-signposted route guarantees a smooth ride.

The trail starts on asphalt at the St. Martin top station, continues over steep, loose gravel sections and crosses other trails (e.g. the Tschilli Trail).

A special highlight is the imposing Schloss Annenberg, which towers above Goldrain. Although it is privately owned and not open to the public, the route passes by and offers an unforgettable view of the castle, its chapel and the enchanting scenery of the Vinschgau.

The route continues towards Goldrain or Vetzan. From there you can ride to the Goldrain fishing pond (Quellensee), a nice spot for a short break. Finally, the Vinschgau cycle path takes you back to Latsch or Kastelbell.

A little tip for those starting from Kastelbell: joining the trail earlier saves some climbing up to the top station of the cable car. But no matter where you start or finish, the Annenberg-Easy-Trail promises an unforgettable experience for e-bikers, beginners and traditional mountain bikers alike.
