This diverse tour combines cultural highlights with enjoyable rest stops and an exciting trail finale. The tour starts at the parking lot in Burgstall (Postal).
The first stage leads along well-maintained cycle paths through the Merano basin. From Merano's craft zone, the route continues via Sinich towards Schenna. The first highlight of the tour is the medieval Castle Katzenstein with the historic Rauthof, a traditional wine tavern.
The route continues to the Mitterwalder wine tavern, where we leave the paved road behind. Here begins the natural part of the tour on forest roads. The final section along the Graf-Volkmeier trail offers some technical downhill passages and includes a short section with stairs before returning to Burgstall.
Important Notes:
- Not recommended in wet conditions (significant slip hazard)
- The final trail requires basic mountain biking skills
- Best ridden in dry conditions
