Vigiljoch/Monte San Vigilio (1,743 m) serves as a popular hub for various mountain bike routes in the Merano region. This tour can be started either from Naturns or from Lana (using the Vigiljoch cable car).
From Naturns (554 m), a paved road winds up to the Naturns Alpine Pasture. The final 300 meters of elevation gain are on gravel, leading to the highest point at nearly 2,000 m. The panoramic path to Vigiljoch offers breathtaking views of the Texel Group and the Merano region.
From Vigiljoch, several options branch off:
- The legendary Stuanbruch Trail to Töll: a technically challenging single trail with natural obstacles
- Connection to the Bike Highline: one of South Tyrol's most spectacular mountain bike routes
- Descent to Lana: various trail options of different difficulty levels
