Ötzi-Trail

Mausloch - Tabland - Naturns

5 km
1080 m
Starting point: Tschars/Ciardes train station, on the Vinschgau cycle path

One possible tour to the Ötzi Trail begins at Tschars station and climbs steadily up to the Tablander Alm (approx. 2.5 hours). The ascent is mostly on well-maintained forest roads.

From Tablander Alm, follow the Bike Highline further east. Here, the route runs mostly on gravel roads with only short trail sections.

At the junction to the Mausloch Alm, signs mark the official start of the Ötzi Trail.

From here, a continuous single trail descends directly down the valley. The surface alternates between root sections, rock steps, rocky fields, and grippy forest floor.

After bypassing Platzgumm farm, the trail continues with similar characteristics.

The sustained descent requires concentration and solid braking technique.

Technical requirements: S2-S3, good riding skills required.
