Tablander Alm - Geideralm - Alpine Hut
The Tablander Alm, also known as Geideralm, sits at 1,751 metres on the Naturnser Nörderberg directly on the Almenweg trail. After the original hut was destroyed by fire in April 2020, it was rebuilt as a community project with support from around 70 businesses and private individuals and ceremonially reopened in June 2022.
Hut keeper Erwin Fleischmann serves hikers and mountain bikers with traditional South Tyrolean dishes from May to October. From the Schartegg car park, which can be reached by bike from Tschars, the hut is about one and a half hours on foot. Alternatively, trail no. 5 leads from Tabland through the Schleidertal valley to the hut in around three hours.
