Morterer Alm - Alpine Hut

The Morterer Alm lies secluded on a small plateau on the eastern side of the outer Martell valley. Below the Hasenöhrl peak and the Zwölferkreuz, in the heart of the Stelvio National Park, it commands sweeping views across the valley and the surrounding three-thousand-metre peaks.

The ascent leads through the Brandner valley along forest roads and switchbacks, accompanied by the sound of the rushing Brandner stream. At the top, homemade delicacies invite you to rest. The peace and seclusion of this place make the Morterer Alm one of the quietest excursion destinations in the Vinschgau.
