The bike shuttle takes us up to the pass. Beyond the Stilfser Joch (Stelvio Pass) we see the Forcola Trail, which runs from the Umbrail Pass at 2,501 m to the Bocchetta di Forcola.Only a few gun emplacements and the barracks behind them hint at the scenes that raged here in the First World War. Beyond the Bocchetta di Forcola, the first highlight of the tour, it goes briefly downhill, then uphill again to the Bocchetta di Pedenolo (2,704 m). What follows is a very long, dreamlike descent on the military road and over the legendary Serpente Trail to the Cancano and San Giacomo reservoirs. After a short 22 km but already almost 650 m of climbing, a stop for food is a must, because the rest of the tour still covers quite a few kilometres, albeit with little climbing, through a fabulous landscape between Livigno and Graubünden. The trail section into the Val Mora and the final climb to Döss Radond are magnificent. The descent into the Münstertal (Val Müstair) as far as Glurns adds plenty of kilometres without any effort.
