This cycling tour leads from Merano along the Val d'Adige cycle path to Nals and continues on the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Via Andrian, the route runs to Sigmundskron. The historic railway embankment guides cyclists to Eppan (Appiano), where the turn-off to the Montiggl Lakes is located.
Various trails through the shady Montiggl Forest lead to the larger of the two lakes - an ideal rest stop. The return route runs via Girlan to Sigmundskron and back to Merano on the cycle path.
