The starting point is the train station in Malles. From there, the tour leads across the Malettes plateau(Malettesböden) above Malles (Mals) and continues via the Tarces alpine pasture up to the mountaineering village of Mazia (Matsch).
A panoramic trail leads to the Mazia Alpine Hut (Matscher Alm) at over 2,000 m.
The descent runs through a larch forest to Gschneir, down to Churburg Castle in Sluderno.
Via Sluderno (Schluderns), you can return to Malles or head towards Merano (Meran) along the Val Venosta Cycle Path.
