Kaproner Alm - Alpine Hut
The Kaproner Alm stands at nearly 1,960 metres in the Langtaufers valley, one of the most unspoilt high valleys in South Tyrol. The hut is unmanaged, yet its quiet setting among larch forests and alpine meadows offers a special place of rest away from the crowds.
The Kaproner Alm is known for its alpine dairy. Dairywoman Elisabeth Haid was awarded the highest score for her Vinschgau alpine cheese at the international Alpine Cheese Olympics in 2018. The hut is part of the popular Three Huts Tour, which leads from Graun at Lake Reschen across three alpine pastures to the head of the valley.
